Troop 64 is a "Boy Run / Boy Lead" organization. We aspire to develop leadership, confidence, and self reliance in the character of our Scouts through the application of the "Patrol Method". Older, generally higher ranking Scouts, comprise the Patrol Leadership Council (PLC). Under the guidance and supervision of a dedicated cadre of adult leaders, the PLC sets the agenda for troop events, plans and carries out troop meetings, and assists with the advancement of younger Scouts.
The Tuscarora Council is composed of three districts (Neusiok, Torhunta and Coharie) representing Scouting units from Johnston, Wayne, Duplin and Sampson counties. The council office is located in Goldsboro. Camp Tuscarora is located just north of Newton Grove near Bentonville in southeast Johnston County.
